Privacy Policy

The Oregon Timber Trail® Alliance (OTTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Portland, Oregon. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean OTTA.

Information we collect

Information you give us, such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and date of birth (for giveaway entries only) when you donate, join, subscribe, volunteer, or enter a giveaway.
Payment information. When you pay online, your card details are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically when you visit our website, such as browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location, through cookies and similar tools.
Giveaway information. If you enter a giveaway, we keep your entry details, the number of entries, and your consent choices.

How we use information

To process donations, memberships, orders, and giveaway entries, and to send receipts.
To run giveaways, conduct drawings, notify winners, and deliver prizes.
To send you OTTA news, updates, fundraising requests, and promotions about our work.
To operate and improve our website and programs, and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Communications and your choices

When you enter an OTTA giveaway, you consent to receive marketing, promotional, solicitation, and organizational news from OTTA. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing admin@oregontimbertrail.org. Unsubscribing does not remove entries you have already made.

Giveaways and promotions

For the 2026 Snow Peak Plus Giveaway, entry requires your consent (1) to receive marketing, promotional, solicitation, and organizational news from OTTA by email, and (2) to our sharing your email address with Snow Peak, which may use it for its own marketing and promotional purposes. If you win the Snow Peak prize package, we also share your name and shipping contact details with Snow Peak USA so that it can ship the prize. Snow Peak’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe from Snow Peak’s messages using the link in any message from Snow Peak.

We share personal information only as described here:

Giveaway partner, as described above and only with your consent.
Service providers that help us operate, such as our donor-management system (Arreva), our website host (Squarespace), our email provider, and our fulfillment provider for merchandise. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights or safety.

We do not sell your information for money.

Retention and security

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal and accounting requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you communications, by contacting admin@oregontimbertrail.org. Residents of some states have additional rights under state law, and we will honor requests as required by law.

Children

Our giveaways are open only to adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
